Managing Public Finances and Ensuring Accountability
The Finance Department is responsible for the management, control, and accountability of the Assembly’s financial resources.
It promotes transparency and fiscal discipline to support effective service delivery and sustainable district development.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Mobilize and account for internally generated funds and other revenues due the Assembly.
- Manage disbursement of funds in accordance with approved budgets and financial regulations.
- Prepare financial statements and statutory reports.
- Maintain proper books of accounts and financial records.
- Advise management on financial planning and resource allocation.

With only 3 staff members, the finance department is being run efficiently by the District Finance Officer (DFO) and his 2 deputies
