MEET YOUR EXTENSION OFFICERS
Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) are field-based technical officers within the Department of Agriculture who serve as the primary link between the Assembly and farmers across the District. They provide practical guidance on crop and livestock production, promote modern and climate-smart farming techniques, conduct farm visits to address pests and diseases, support farmer-based organizations, and assist in implementing government agricultural programmes. In addition, they collect agricultural data to inform planning and development decisions, helping to improve productivity, strengthen food security, and support the economic well-being of farming communities.
