Sekyere Afram Plains District Assembly is one of the 261 MMDAs in Ghana with Drobonso as its capital. It was carved out of Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly and established on 15th March, 2012 by L.I. 2114. It is the largest district in the Ashanti Region but boasts a population size of 33226
